Apimaye Ergo Insulated 10 Frame Bee Hive Set (Double Deep)
Two deep insulated boxes on a screened bottom board with a pollen trap and pull out drawer. The set ships with an entrance reducer, plastic queen excluder, division board, frame spacers and a top feeder, so the usual list of small extras is already covered. Double walls hold heat in winter and slow overheating in summer, and the moulded parts do not rot or need painting. Boxes lock together with clips, which helps in windy spots.
Suited to cold or wet regions and to keepers who would rather not sand and paint pine every few seasons. Note that this particular set ships without frames, so budget for ten deeps plus ten more later. Traditionalists dislike the look, and the plastic body will not take a hive strap the same way a wooden box does.
