BeeCastle 10-Frames Complete Beehive Kit, 2 Layer
A two box kit with one deep brood chamber and one medium super, 20 frames with beeswax coated foundation, metal top cover, inner cover, queen excluder, solid bottom board, entrance reducer and the screws for assembly. Boxes are cut from FSC certified wood and dipped in beeswax, and internal dimensions follow the standard 10 frame Langstroth pattern, so parts from other brands still fit.
A reasonable middle option: cheaper than dipped premium kits, better finished than the thinnest budget boxes. The solid bottom board means a screened floor or mite tray has to be bought separately if mite counting matters. Handholds are shallow, which is felt when a super is full. Suit, smoker and hive tool are not included in this version of the kit.
