Fellowes built the Lotus DX around electronics. Besides the sit stand platform it carries a Qi wireless charging pad, a Bluetooth speaker and a USB port, so a phone and a headset live on the desk without extra adapters. The lift is a counterbalance system: no handle, just push the surface up or down. The keyboard tray below takes a full size keyboard and mouse. The frame folds flat for seated work.
Makes sense for someone who takes calls all day and hates cables. The extras push the price well above plain risers of the same size, and speaker quality is average. The unit is wide, so a narrow desk will not take it. Anyone who needs height and nothing else should buy the standard Lotus and save money.
