A full playing kit rather than a bag of balls: eight steel boules in two finishes, a jack, a measuring rope and a padded carry case. The rope is the useful part, because most casual sets skip it and arguments about which boule is closer start on the first round. Two finishes split the teams, and eight balls give four players two each.
Built for lawns, sand and gravel driveways, and it takes the knocks of family use. Anyone with a licence should look elsewhere, as the balls are not made to FIPJP hardness and weight grades. The case adds bulk, which is a plus in storage and a minus if the game is a walk from the car.
