A ventilated mesh jacket with a fencing veil, offered next to the brand plain cotton version. Air passes through the mesh panels, the veil zips off, and the hem and cuffs pull tight with elastic. Sizes cover large through 2XL. Price is lower than the specialist mesh brands, which is the main reason people put it in the basket.

Good for short jobs in hot weather: feeding, quick frame checks, moving a nuc. Mesh here is lighter than in the heavy three layer suits, so pressing an arm against a frame can still earn a sting. Legs stay open, and gloves are sold separately. For a first hive plus a helper, two of these cost less than one premium suit.
