The Courage is the workhorse of the SAS traditional line: a 60 inch three piece takedown with a riser laminated from Bintangor, Makore and Chuglam hardwoods, and limbs built from maple and Makore laminations faced with high strength fiberglass. Draw weights are listed from 35 up to 60 pounds, so the heavier options land squarely in whitetail and hog country while the light ones work for backyard practice. The package normally arrives with a Dacron string and a stick on rug rest, and the whole thing rarely passes 160 dollars.
A fair way to get the warmth and quiet of a wooden bow without commissioning a custom one, and clubs like it because spare limbs are sold on their own. Brass bushings in the riser take a plunger, sight or quiver later. The riser is not ILF, so limb swaps stay inside the SAS catalogue, and finish quality varies from one bow to the next. Shooters with a 30 inch draw should look at a 62 or 64 inch bow instead.
