Brand: Southwest Archery
The Spyder XL is the long version of the Spyder, 64 inches instead of 62, aimed at archers whose draw runs past 30 inches and who keep pinching the string angle on shorter bows. Riser is layered hardwood with rounded edges and a smoother finish than the older Sage pattern, limbs are laminated wood faced with fiberglass, and the limb bolts tighten by hand, so assembly in camp needs no tools. Weights start at 30 pounds and climb in 5 pound steps into hunting range. Brass bushings are pre installed for sight and stabilizer.
Good pick for a taller adult, a first hunting bow, or a club loaner that gets taken apart weekly. It is not a competition rig: no plunger button precision, no clicker mount, and the stock string stretches for the first hundred shots. Wooden limbs also need a dry storage spot, not a car trunk in July.
