The cheap way in. A 22 inch nitrided steel handpan, nine notes in D minor at 440 Hz, listed around $140 at Walmart with mallets, stand and carry bag in the box. Stated weight is about 5 kg and the shell measures 550 by 550 by 250 mm. Amazon carries a sibling version at 432 Hz with a woven edge guard, and stock rotates between the two.
For a curious beginner, a kids' room or a sound bath prop, this is a sensible risk: US warehouses mean quick delivery and easy returns, which matters more than brand prestige at this price. Expect entry level results, though. Tuning precision and overtone clarity are nowhere near the German or American shells, the mallets are basic, and nitrided steel still wants an occasional wipe with oil. Serious players will outgrow it.
