5SIM is one of the older activation services, with numbers from more than 180 countries. It offers two products. A one-time number receives a single code. A rental receives unlimited messages from several sites for as long as you have paid for. The help center also covers less common checks: a call where the last digits of the caller's number are the code, and an SMS read out by a voice bot. There is an API for developers and bulk registration.
It suits users who need rare countries and don't mind comparing operators within one country. The support rules are strict. A request filed under the wrong category may be closed without a reply. Payment questions must give the amount, currency and transaction ID as text, not as screenshots. Independent reviews also mention complaints about the refund policy and about numbers being unavailable. Partner inquiries go to a separate business address.
