The campus branch of Art of Problem Solving, the company Richard Rusczyk started in 1993 for students who solve olympiad problems for fun. Classes are small, taught live, and built on hard non standard problems instead of long sets of similar exercises. For grades 1 to 5 the academy uses Beast Academy, with comic style books that kids read on their own. Older groups work toward AMC and other contests, and the same textbooks are used by many strong math clubs.
This is a center for a child who is already ahead and gets bored in class, not for one who is failing. There is an entrance placement, and a student who is not ready will struggle from the first week. Locations are limited to a handful of states, though the online school covers the rest of the country and takes students from abroad.
