A Brooklyn stage complex that also runs a rental department, so sound blankets can be booked with the room they will hang in. The grip list has a separate sound blanket entry alongside stands, flags and expendables. The stages carry cycloramas, lighting grids and three phase power, and the same office handles lighting, electric and camera orders for location work as well.
Convenient for a shoot that films in house: pads are already on site and nobody pays for a truck. For a location crew the pickup in East Williamsburg is workable but parking near the building is not generous. Rental rates depend on the package and the stage booking, so the blanket line is rarely quoted on its own.
