Started in 1997 by Harvard students who tutored classmates, C2 grew into a network of well over a hundred centers, most of them near strong school districts. The focus is college admissions: SAT and ACT math, AP calculus and statistics, plus regular subject tutoring in algebra and geometry. Students work in small groups of a few people with one instructor, and each family gets a plan tied to target scores and target colleges.
Made for high school students and ambitious middle schoolers, not for a first grader learning to add. Practice tests are frequent, and score tracking is the main measure of progress here. The counseling part is useful, though it also pushes long packages, so check how many hours are really needed. Elementary math support exists but is not the strong side of the brand.
