dV Giochi keeps the format stripped down: one deck of cards, no app, no scissors, no batteries. You read the top card, the group decides, you flip it and learn straight away whether the answer held. Any number of people can gather round, since there are no hands to manage. Boxes such as Test Time, The Fate of London and Heist in Venice sell for around 15 dollars.
A run takes 45 to 60 minutes. Errors are counted and turned into a score at the end, which gives a reason to argue before flipping the card rather than guessing. The deck survives the session intact, so it moves on to the next group. What you give up is spectacle: no locks, no props, no big reveal moments, and a few puzzles lean on wordplay that reads oddly in translation.
