The Great American Coin & Collectibles Show is a younger national show managed by Shepherd Expos under Larry Shepherd. After an edition in Tampa in 2024, it moved to the Chicago area in September 2025, bringing artifacts from the S.S. Central America gold rush shipwreck to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Dealer feedback was warm enough that the 2026 show was expanded: dealer trading from September 30, public days October 1 to 3, with exhibits on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Heritage Auctions is the official auctioneer and CACG a grand co-sponsor. The educational side is unusually strong for a show this new, with expert seminars, National Silver Dollar Round Table forums on Morgan dollar varieties and a collector prize program. The main caution is its short record: attendance and dealer lists are still settling.
