Hammerpress
Kansas City studio founded in 1994 by Brady Vest right after art school, starting with one old press and a single cabinet of type. It grew into a shop known for gig posters, art prints and greeting cards built from antique wood type and ornaments, layer over layer, with colours that overlap on purpose. Besides its own card line the studio takes custom work: business cards, identity pieces, wedding invitations, foil printing and design.
Right for anyone who wants a poster or card with visible hand made character rather than a clean corporate look. Collectors of ornament heavy printing will enjoy the retail shop.
