HousingAnywhere grew out of a student exchange project in Rotterdam and now covers mid term furnished rentals in hundreds of European cities. Rooms, studios and apartments are booked online, usually before the tenant ever sees the country, and the first rent payment is held by the platform and passed to the landlord only after move in, which cuts off the classic deposit scam. Filters include rental period, bills included, and whether the landlord accepts students.
It is a natural fit for exchange students, Erasmus arrivals and interns moving between European cities for a summer. The tenant pays a booking fee on top of rent, and most listings prefer stays of a month or more, so a three week trip is awkward here. Landlord response times vary a lot by city, and popular listings in Amsterdam or Barcelona are gone in hours.
