Layla
Layla is a conversational travel assistant that grew out of the Roam Around project. It answers in plain language, suggests destinations by budget, season and vibe, builds a rough day plan and links to flight and hotel search with live prices, taking commission on bookings rather than charging the traveller. Inspiration from short travel videos feeds many of its suggestions.
It works best as a starting point for undecided travellers: comparing three countries in November, or filling a spare weekend. As an itinerary manager it stays shallow, with limited manual editing, no serious offline mode and no parsing of booking confirmations. Facts need a second check, especially visa rules and seasonal closures. Detail oriented planners will outgrow it once the trip has firm dates.
