Mathnasium
A math only network that started in Los Angeles in 2002 and grew past a thousand centers around the world. Every child begins with a free assessment, and the results turn into a personal learning plan. Sessions are built on the Mathnasium Method: the tutor works with several students at once, moving between them, so a child gets attention but also solves tasks alone. Most centers sell a monthly membership with a flexible schedule, so a family can drop in on the days that suit them, usually two or three times a week.
Good fit for a student with holes in the basics who needs steady drilling and a calm room to work in. Homework help is allowed but it is not the main point, the plan comes first.
