Merivis is an Austin nonprofit started in 2015 by a military family to move veterans and military spouses into Salesforce careers. Training is free for eligible participants and combines technical instruction toward the Administrator credential with mentorship from working professionals, job readiness coaching and introductions to hiring partners. Corporate backers have funded the work, including a $100,000 grant from Accenture Federal Services in 2020 to expand the admin track.
Eligibility is the obvious filter: active duty, veterans and spouses only, so civilians should look elsewhere. Cohorts are limited and run on a volunteer heavy model, which means dates can shift and the pace assumes serious self study between sessions. For the military community, the mentorship network is worth more than the free tuition.
