Mindtrip is an AI first planner that opened publicly in 2024 and mixes three panels: a chat, a map and an editable itinerary. A request such as ten days in Japan with two teenagers and no early starts produces a draft schedule with places, opening hours and travel times, which can then be dragged around by hand. Links, screenshots and social videos can be dropped in, and the assistant extracts the places mentioned in them.
Useful at the blank page stage, when a destination is picked but nothing is booked. Accuracy needs supervision: generated opening hours and prices drift, and small local businesses are described loosely. Sharing and light collaboration work, and the free account covers most planning. Travellers who already know their route will get more from a classic manual planner.
