Precision Shooting Equipment, PSE for short, was started by Pete Shepley in 1971 and works out of Tucson, Arizona. The catalog is broad, and on the recurve side it leans practical: the Razorback and Nighthawk takedown bows aimed at beginners and clubs, plus target risers, at prices from cheap to mid.
That makes PSE an easy call for schools, ranges and anyone learning form without spending much. The trade-off is focus: PSE is far better known for compounds, so the recurve lineup is narrower and light on premium target options. Parts and fitting run through the dealer network rather than the factory.
