The Sennheiser name goes back to 1945 in Wedemark, Germany. Since March 2022 the consumer side of the business belongs to Sonova, the Swiss hearing group behind Phonak and Unitron, which holds a perpetual licence to the brand. That mix shows on the site: headphones and AMBEO soundbars sit next to the All-Day Clear and All-Day Clear Slim over-the-counter hearing aids, launched for the US market, plus TV listening sets such as Conversation Clear Plus.

Fitting is done at home through the app, with the option of booking a hearing care professional for help. The pull is sound quality: speech stays in front, music does not turn thin. Prices are higher than budget OTC brands, and the hearing aid choice is limited to two shapes. Buyers who want a full audiogram, an ear mould or strong amplification are better served by a clinic brand.
