SMS-MAN is pay as you go with no subscriptions: you top up your balance and spend it on numbers. A one-time activation gives you a number for 20 minutes to receive one SMS from the service you picked. A rental keeps the number longer and accepts any number of messages during the paid term. The catalog lists numbers from more than 170 countries and over 3,000 supported apps and websites. It accepts more payment methods than many rivals, including PayPal and crypto.
It makes sense for occasional users who don't want to commit to a plan. The 20-minute window is short, so have the target app open before you buy the number. The company is registered in the Marshall Islands, which tells you little about where to turn in a dispute. Prices vary a lot by country and service, so check the exact country and service before you top up. There is an Android app.
