Cowboy Jack Clement built this Belmont Boulevard studio in 1969, and Studio A still has the room he designed: about 35 by 45 feet with a 22 foot ceiling. Studio B sits in a converted house on the next lot and has a warmer, tighter sound. A 48 channel API Legacy console went into Studio A in 2020, and a smaller mix and overdub room, Studio G, was added later. Owners have included Roy Clark and producer Garth Fundis; Lipscomb University holds it now.
Country, Americana and acoustic records are the core here, and the live room handles a full band playing together, which is the point of the place. Sessions are booked through the studio directly on (615) 383-1982. Less suitable if you need many parallel rooms at once, since the complex is small compared with the big Nashville campuses, and the residential street has limited parking for a touring van.
