Sister brand of The Moorings under the same parent group, trading since the 1970s and aimed at a slightly thriftier sailor. Bases cover the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Solent and parts of Asia, with monohulls and catamarans that are usually a season or two older than the equivalent Moorings boat and priced accordingly.
Its real speciality is the flotilla: six to a dozen boats sailing a set route with a lead crew, engineer and hostess, which suits families and newly qualified skippers who do not want to plan every anchorage alone. Sailing schools and RYA courses run from several bases too. Cabins are compact by modern standards and the fleet is worked hard, so cosmetic wear is common. Anyone wanting a brand new catamaran and hotel style finish should look elsewhere.
