SwitchBot began with a small robot that pressed physical buttons, and its locks follow the same philosophy: the unit sits over the existing thumb turn and turns it for you. Installation takes minutes with adhesive and needs no cylinder change, which makes the Lock, Lock Pro and Lock Ultra unusually renter-friendly. A separate Keypad Touch adds codes and fingerprints outside the door, and a SwitchBot hub brings remote access and Matter support for Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung systems.
Practical where drilling is out of the question and the door already has a normal thumb turn. Not the pick for a showpiece entrance, since the module is a visible block on the inside. Anyone wanting away-from-home control should budget for the hub as well, otherwise the lock stays a Bluetooth device.
