Tidy Cats is the litter brand of Nestle Purina PetCare in St. Louis, and it traces straight back to Ed Lowe, who turned granulated clay into cat litter in 1947. The brand came to Purina through the 1990s purchase of Golden Cat Corporation and is now the best selling litter line in the United States by sales. The range covers clumping and non clumping clay, lightweight bags, unscented Free and Clean, 24/7 Performance, Naturally Strong with cedar, plus the Breeze system: zeolite pellets that hold solids on top while pads below absorb urine.
