The XPC version answers the obvious complaint about the original Alpha: consoles. Mechanics stay the same, steel shaft, 180 degree travel, self centering springs, switch panel with the five position ignition key, but the electronics are wired for Xbox Series X and S alongside PC. Honeycomb brought it out in 2022, when console simmers flying Microsoft Flight Simulator had almost no yoke options at all.

The extra money is only worth it if the sim runs on Xbox, on PC the standard Alpha does the same job for less. Not every switch behaves identically across aircraft, so some binding work stays on the user, and the box still holds no throttle levers and no trim wheel.
