LectroFan Evo

Brand: Sound+Sleep SE

0

The Evo takes the LectroFan idea further: twenty two non looping sounds, adding ocean surf to the fan and noise range, plus a headphone jack for shared bedrooms and hotel rooms with thin walls. Buttons are laid out on the top face, volume and sound selection are separate, and the sleep timer works up to an hour. List price hovers around fifty to sixty dollars and drops to the mid thirties during sales.

Worth the extra over the Classic mainly for the headphone output and the wider tonal range. Tinnitus sufferers often pick it for the pink and brown style low tones. It still needs a USB supply, so a power bank is required away from an outlet, and the speaker, while cleaner than the Classic, is not a music speaker: pushed to maximum it hardens.

Pros

  • Twenty two sounds, none looped
  • Headphone jack for shared rooms
  • Deeper low tones suit tinnitus masking
  • Separate volume and sound buttons
  • Regularly discounted below list

Cons

  • Needs USB power, no battery inside
  • Sound hardens at maximum volume
  • No app or scheduling
  • Narrow range, no rain or lullabies
