A long tractor style coop, just over ninety six inches end to end, with two wheels and lift handles so it can be walked to fresh grass. The layout combines a raised sleeping house, a nesting box with an outside lid, an open mesh run and a ramp between the levels. Fir wood with a water based stain and an asphalt style roof keeps the weight manageable for one adult to move.
It fits owners who rotate a few hens around a lawn instead of keeping them on one patch of bare earth. Three to four standard birds are comfortable; more than that and the run empties of grass quickly. The open bottom is an advantage for grazing and a weakness against digging predators, so a wire skirt is worth adding.
