The Razorback is PSE's teaching recurve, 62 inches long, with a riser of walnut, beech and Burma white wood and hard maple limbs faced with fiberglass. Each limb drops into a pocket and locks with a limb bolt that turns out by hand, so it goes together in a couple of minutes with no allen key to lose. Draw weights come in 5 pound steps from 20 to 35 pounds, and sight bushings are drilled in the riser. Street price usually stays near the hundred dollar mark.

Best fit is a teenager, a smaller adult, or anyone rebuilding form after a shoulder problem. Despite the name, 35 pounds is the ceiling, and most states set 40 pounds as the legal minimum for deer, so this is a target and small game bow, not a hunting rig. Those who grow out of it need a different riser, since heavier Razorback limbs do not exist.
