Precision Shooting Equipment started in 1970 in Mahomet, Illinois, when Magnavox product engineer Pete Shepley moved from tinkering with release aids and vanes to building compound bows. The operation relocated to Tucson, Arizona, in 1982, and risers, limbs and cams are still machined and assembled there. PSE was among the first to mill risers from solid aluminum. The catalog splits into carbon Mach bows, including the Mach 33 DS named Outdoor Life Bow of the Year for 2025, aluminum platforms such as the Decree and Force DS, plus target bows, crossbows, arrows and youth kits.
Built for bowhunters and target archers who want an American made bow with a broad draw weight and length range, and a pro shop nearby for tuning. Casual buyers should look twice: flagship carbon models sit in the four figure bracket, and the yearly refresh pushes last season's models down in resale value.
