This is not a coating, it is a new roof. RecPro ships PVC membrane cut to length, 9.5 feet wide with an 8.5 foot version alongside it, in lengths from 5 to 40 feet, around 0.027 inch thick, together with 8010 water based adhesive, tubes of 1021 self leveling sealant and 30 foot rolls of butyl tape. A 25 foot kit carries one gallon of adhesive, four sealant tubes and two butyl rolls; longer kits carry more of each.
PVC is the argument: it resists tree sap, animal fat and droppings that chew through EPDM and TPO, and it needs no conditioner afterwards. The labor is the problem. The old membrane comes off, vents and the air conditioner come out, the deck gets checked for rot, and that is two days with a helper. Keep solvents and abrasives off the finished surface.
