Aquatek of California
Aquatek of California builds mid range CO2 regulators for planted tanks and sells them mostly through Amazon and eBay. The line is short: Basic R-76, Premium R-76-1 and the compact Mini R-78. All use a brass body, dual gauges marked in psi and kg/cm2, a cool touch solenoid wired for 110 and 220 volts, and a needle valve for fine tuning. Output tops out around 140 psi, and the brass bubble counter with a built in check valve screws straight onto the regulator, no extra tubing.
It suits an aquarist stepping off disposable cartridges onto a refillable 5 lb cylinder without paying boutique money. Threads follow the US CGA 320 standard, so owners of European cylinders need an adapter. Service is the weak spot: a torn solenoid O ring often gets answered with an offer to buy a new solenoid, and the company store goes offline for long stretches, pushing buyers back to marketplaces.
