Atlas Knife & Tool grew out of one homemade forge: the founder took it to a Knifedogs hammer-in in 2010, got told to build more, and has been selling them since 2011. By 2022 the company counted over 5000 bladesmiths using its gear in more than 10 countries, including school shops. The core product is the Atlas Forge at $350: a 2.5 by 10.5 inch chamber, cast mullite refractory rated to 2500F, stainless body, 30,000 BTU venturi burner and a 0 to 20 psi regulator, hot enough for fluxless forge welding.
Beside forges there is a 66 lb bladesmith anvil around $270 to $450, hardy tools, the MAC-Rack anvil organizer, spare burners and bricks from $40 to $135, plus free heat treat charts for 1084, 1095, O1, L6, 15N20 and some stainless steels. The small chamber sips propane, which suits knife work, but a smith heating long bar stock needs something wider. Popular items go on back order.
