The chassis is light and softly rounded, and the buttons make one-handed reading genuinely comfortable, something most rivals dropped years ago.
The reader makes sense for Nook customers in the United States who already own titles in that store and value being able to walk into a shop for help with a device. Elsewhere the ecosystem is thin, and the store catalogue trails Amazon and Kobo. Software updates are rare, sideloading EPUB works but is clumsy, and there is no water resistance or audiobook support on this model.
