SSB tunes down to 10 Hz steps, which is enough to pull a ham or a marine net into clear speech. This is the radio for a go bag, a boat or a truck cab. It runs on two AA cells and takes almost no space. The trade off is the speaker: small box, thin bass, better with headphones. On a crowded evening band the little set can overload if a long wire is hung on it, so keep the wire short or use the attenuator.
