EternaBond is the tape brand behind the term MicroSealant: a proprietary sealant layer with a built in, VOC free primer and a UV stable backing. RoofSeal, the version RV owners buy most, runs about 35 mil thick and comes in 2 and 4 inch widths, rolls up to 50 feet, in white, gray, black and tan. It bonds to EPDM, TPO, Hypalon, aluminum, galvanized steel, wood and fiberglass, stays flexible from minus 70 F to 212 F, and goes on in one pass with nothing to mix or cure. The wider catalog adds WebSeal reinforced fabric, RVSeal, EternaPrime and EternaClean, and the brand now sits inside the H.B. Fuller adhesives portfolio.
The strong use case is a lasting repair on seams, vent flanges and tears where the surface can be cleaned and dried first. The bond is close to irreversible: removal means a heat gun, a plastic putty knife and patience. Application wants 40 F or warmer, or EternaPrime below that, and silicone treated roofs are off limits. Rolls cost noticeably more than hardware store repair tape, and the TPO backer is not meant to be sanded or painted, so pick the color before buying.
