Hiram Green
Hiram Green makes perfume from natural materials only, no synthetics in the bottle. He started the brand in 2013 in Gouda in the Netherlands, after running a perfume shop in Toronto. The debut was Moon Bloom, a thick creamy tuberose, and it is still the one most people buy. Shangri La, Dilettante, Slowdive, Arbolé Arbolé, Voyages, Vetiver and Hyde came later; Hyde took the Art and Olfaction award in 2019. Bottles are 50 ml, mixed by hand in small batches, and the shop ships them worldwide for free.
Good pick for anyone who reacts badly to synthetic musks or just likes raw, natural smells. Keep in mind what naturals do: the scent sits close to the skin and fades sooner than a designer blend, so touch ups happen. Harvests differ, so one batch can smell a bit off another. The range is vegan apart from beeswax in Slowdive. The Discovery set is the cheapest way to test everything first.
