The cheapest serious route to a fitted wardrobe. PAX frames come in standard widths and two heights, KOMPLEMENT drawers, rails, shelves, inserts and lighting slot in, and the free online planner lets anyone draw a wall, price it and print the parts list before leaving the house. Staff in store will go through the plan, and assembly or measuring can be arranged for a fee through IKEA's partners in most countries.
For a straight wall and a modest budget it is hard to beat, and spare parts stay available for years. The limits are obvious: sizes are standard, so a wall that does not divide neatly needs filler panels or a visible gap, and sloping ceilings are a problem. Assembly is a real job, several days for a long run, and the design help is a planning service rather than bespoke work.
