The Advanced and Professional models carry two gauges, cylinder pressure and working pressure, and mount with a knurled screw that tightens by hand; the manual is explicit that tools damage the seat. Removing the thread adapter switches the unit between disposable and refillable cylinders. Registered buyers get an extended four year guarantee.
Sensible for keepers already inside the JBL ecosystem of bottles, diffusers and night shutoff timers, and for anyone who wants a reducer sold in almost every European aquarium shop. The Basic tier gives up a gauge and some adjustment range. Outside Europe the range is thinner and prices climb with import markups.
