Knowify, built in New York since 2012, is the invoicing tool for contractors whose money arrives through pay applications. It produces G702 and G703 forms from a schedule of values, tracks retainage and stored materials, folds in change orders, and syncs both ways with QuickBooks Online. Core starts at $99 a month for one user with $10 for each extra seat, Advanced runs $249 with up to ten users, Enterprise is quoted, and the Service Pro add-on for dispatch costs another $99.
The audience is electrical, mechanical, drywall and painting subcontractors with genuine budgets and a general contractor to invoice, roughly five to fifty employees. It is the wrong tool for a two truck service shop: the entry price is steep, dispatch stays shallow, and reviewers note that the reporting layer does not always answer the questions a growing contractor puts to it.
