LaserPecker is the engraver brand of Shenzhen Hingin Technology, a Chinese maker that grew out of crowdfunding: the first pocket size laser landed on Kickstarter in 2019, and the LP2 campaign passed 3.5 million dollars. The catalogue now covers the LP1 Pro, LP2, LP3, LP4 and LP5, plus the bigger LX machines, with rollers, safety enclosures, cases and packs of wood, leather and slate. Everything runs from the free LDS app on a phone or from the desktop editor.
The draw is size and price. A unit that sits on the kitchen counter suits people who engrave tumblers, tags and leather at home, and small shops that need a batch of the same item by evening. For thick steel or full plywood sheets a big gantry laser is still the right tool. Two things to plan for: goggles and fume venting are not optional, and enclosures and rotary parts cost extra, so the final bill sits above the sticker.
