NC Tool Company works out of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina, family owned since 1982. Farrier Donald Jones and his wife Ruth Ann ran the North Carolina School of Horseshoeing from 1976, then started making the equipment their graduates could not buy anywhere; the first Whisper gas forge was patented in 1981. The shop now turns out gas forges, farrier anvils, tongs, hammers, hoof gauges and nippers.
