Quest builds nothing but waterproof detectors, and the Q60 sits at the top of that line: selectable multi-frequency at 5, 14 and 21 kHz, submersible to 5 metres, and a 13 by 9 inch BEASTX coil that covers ground quickly. Wireless headphones and a receiver come in the box rather than as an upsell, the shaft is telescopic and packs down for hand luggage, and the whole assembly is light enough for a teenager to swing all afternoon.
Sensible for holiday hunting and for families who want two machines instead of one expensive flagship. Depth and target separation trail the top tier, especially in trashy sand, and the target ID scale is coarser than Minelab or XP offer. Dealer network is thinner in some countries, so check who handles warranty before ordering from abroad.
