An independent non-profit museum in Bynum, open since 1995, working the Two Medicine Formation and the only museum in Montana offering same-day hands-on fossil expeditions. The programme ladder starts with a half-day site tour and runs up to one, two and three day digs, offered Wednesday through Monday. Crews are kept to five or six people, and seats are sold per place in the van, which holds ten.
The gallery is worth the stop on its own: the first dinosaur babies found in a nest came from this area, and Seismosaurus holds a Guinness record for skeleton length. Summer hours are 9 am to 6 pm daily from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, with shorter shoulder-season hours Wednesday to Sunday. Adults accompanying children pay full price, since the charge is per seat, not per digger.
