Toca Boca is a Swedish studio, now part of Spin Master, and Toca Life World is its big sandbox: houses, shops, a hospital, a school, characters that can be dressed and moved anywhere. Nothing has to be achieved. There are no points, no time limits, no third party ads and no in game chat with strangers. The base app is free with a starter location, and extra places are bought as packs, or a subscription unlocks the lot.
For an autistic child this is often the rare game that causes no stress, since rules are absent and the same scene can be replayed forever. It also gives parents and therapists a natural way to play out real situations, like a dentist visit, before they happen. Watch the spending though: packs add up fast, and children who like sameness may ignore everything except one room.
