Whisker
Whisker, headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, grew out of Automated Pet Care Products, the company Brad Baxter founded to bring the first Litter-Robot to market in 2000. It sells mainly direct to consumers and now runs a connected pet lineup: four generations of the self-cleaning Litter-Robot, the 2025 Litter-Robot 5 Pro, 5 and EVO, Feeder-Robot, the PetTag tracker and the Whisker+ membership. Engineering happens in house, with a team of more than 35 engineers.
Aimed at multi cat households tired of scooping, and at owners who like usage data on their phone. Every robot appliance ships with a 90 day in home trial and the WhiskerCare one year warranty, with a three year plan sold separately. Worth knowing: the machines need a 2.4 GHz network, deeper behaviour insights sit behind the paid membership, and trial returns are shipped at the buyer's cost.
