The Deluxe version of the Bresser Junior planetarium keeps the school friendly logic of the range: two discs with more than 8,000 celestial objects, date and time setting, a motor with six rotation speeds and a choice of northern or southern hemisphere direction. Shooting stars appear on demand, and the automatic shutoff runs at 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Projection reaches about 1.6 by 2.1 metres from two metres away, with a maximum throw of three metres.

Suited to a child from roughly school age upward, or to an adult who wants a cheap way to learn the sky in the evening. Anyone expecting cinema level brightness will be disappointed, since this is a small LED projector in a plastic silver and black housing. Batteries are not the most economical option for daily use, so a mains adapter is worth considering.
