The simplest option in the aisle: one 6 by 12 inch peel and stick patch with a cleaner and applicator, enough to close a crack, a stress split or a puncture on a rubber, metal or vinyl roof. It is one of the cheapest items in the RV section and sits in both Amazon and Walmart carts, usually bought together with a tube of lap sealant.
Treat it as first aid. The patch area is small, there is no primer in the box, and a real seam separation needs tape by the roll instead. What it does well is stop water the same afternoon the stain appears, which buys time until the weather allows a proper recoat. Worth keeping in the storage bay next to a rag and a bottle of alcohol.
